Portable Push Up Bench with Table Utility

Designed a push up bench for my uncle to be made and sold. The design was influenced by what my uncle noticed being a coach and working at a boxing warehouse, making the bench with the proper spacing for a proper push up.

While the push up bench had to be sturdy enough to survive being taken anywhere, it also had to not pass over 30lbs. This allowed the bench to still maintain a solid structure without being too much of a hassle to carry around, allowing for a light weight curl up, adding to the utility. Sizing was also taken into account with standard dumbbell sizing, to fit dumbbells underneath the bench.

Another big consideration was to allow the top foam to be easily detached and replaced with other top surfaces, such as wood to be used as a coffee table. This was done through the metal frame and adding magnets to the proper locations on the surfaces. While most of these images are lost to time, as the product didn’t make a big impact in the market, it was a great idea that I believe can do some numbers if the manufacturing cost could be properly reduce. Was also my first time being involved in web development.
