Partook in leading a group during a Computer-Aided Analysis and Design class. In this project we had to analysis different scenarios that would occur on components of a bike wheel for our Human Power Vehicle (HPV) team model.
The scenarios we included were a full turn study, full brake study, and a bumpy road study. These were chosen due to having a bigger diversity of scenarios and would be likely scenarios that the HPV team might experience.
We had to use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) through Solidworks Simulation to complete our case studies. Refining meshes to try to get accurate results and using reason to come to the understanding of the results.
Top Skills Utilized
Critical Thinking Skills, learning how to simulate scenarios to what is expected to occur and understanding results
Finite Element Analysis, using Solidworks Simulation to analyze a system of parts and componets to determine potiental failure points
Learning to deal with someone elses models, being able to adapt to provide analysis on a model given to you
