SAE Aero Competition

I partook in the SAE Aero Competition for 2020-2021 during my Senior Design Project. I led the structures and wing sub team during the project, managing over 10 members to create a Remote Control (RC) Cargo Plane.

This competition was during the pandemic, adding an extra obstacle to overcome. I still managed to have my teams meet deadlines and create a prototype for our design. We had to use mainly home tools, such as home size CNC machines, jigsaws, belt grinders and the likes, to create our plane. There was limited access at the university, limiting us to what we could get our hands on.

We managed to build the Remote Control Cargo Plane within specifications of the SAE Aero Design Competition. I was one of the main speakers and presenter  for the SAE Aero Design Presentation, which we received 4th place. Although it was much harder to get thing done quickly due to the lock down, we still manage under the pressure to keep up with deadlines and get some hands on experience in the building process.
